For example 10x4 is the same as 10+10+10+10
I know that when I use repeated addition and multiplication We can get problems done faster.
I have also been learning to use a range of strategies to figure out the problem.
The strategies I can use are.
1.repeated addition
2.multiplication by using my knowledge of timetables
3. Place value partitioning
I know when there is a hard multiplication problem I can use place value partitioning to break the problem up. This is when I multiply the 10's and then the 1's.
I know that the best way to set out my maths is like this.
78x15=(70x10)+(70x5)+(10x8)+(8x5)
=700+350+80+40
=1050+120
=1170

Next steps in maths are to learn my 6 times tables and 12 times tables so I can answer the maths equation fast.
I also need to use my knowledge of families of facts to help me solve division problems. For example: if I know 4x6=24 then I know 24÷4=6.
I also need to work on Sharing and explaining my ideas confidently. also using my prior knowledge to make connections. I know that if I be confident and if I have a go,take risk,never give up and try my best I can achieve my next steps.
